Hip Hop Is Dead is a 2006 album by American hip-hop artist Nas and is set to be released December 19.A listening session was conducted on November 9, 2006 at Sony Studios and early reports for the album are very positive. According to sources, Sony Records allowed those invited to listen to the first few seconds of the song "Black Republican" featuring Jay-Z before cutting it off. The song in its entirety was leaked on the Internet a few days later.
