Here comes another site with a green concept: Switch planet-"use more ...less waste".We are in the times where we badly need to recycle products rather than just throw them away.And,that is what exactly switch planet offers and that's where it strikes the chord.

What do we generally do with our old DVDs,CD's,Books and Games.Most of us just throw them into the junk bin.You can get something out of your old stuff at switch planet.Exchange them with the other members at switch planet and get something which you haven't had.It could be a DVD,CD,Game or a Book.

Its as simple as it sounds.
>>Go to Switchplanet.com >> register >> Edit your profile >> Offer the list of objects you want to switch and list the objects you would like to acquire ,and sit back.

The sign up process is very simple.All that you need to enter is :

-User name and

-E-Mail id.

Switch planet doesn't give its user the credit card jitters.That's one thing every one will like about switch planet.

Once you have signed-up the next thing you have to do is activate your account,which can be done in two methods:

1)Automatic activation, this can be done by clicking on the link sent to your mail.

2)Manual activation,this can be done by using the activation code sent to your mail.

Switch planet system will let you know when some one wants to have any of your objects and that's when you can switch your old stuff with other members for which you gain "switchbucs".Switchbucs are the credits you get for switching your products with other members.With these credits you can start requesting other members for the stuff you want.

Usability:

-The site loads pretty fast even on a 56K modem.

-The interface of the site is pretty simple which makes the user accessible to various corners of the site.Since the site is very carefully categorised it is very easy to find out what we are looking for.

-The home button is on the usual top-left corner which we are used to.But the FAQ button which is very important for the first time user of the site is hidden somewhere at the bottom-right drop down menu.So,it takes some searching ( i personally took some thing over a minute to find it) to find the FAQ button,it would be better if it were to be their on the top right or left which is the most common place in most of the sites.Otherwise the site is very fine to communicate with.
